yes sir, here it is folks. i am proud to announce the second sorta (thanks to a deployment) annual canyon carvers run. this run is not a timed event, its a distance event. we will be traveling approximately 120 miles worth of turns and twisties and some of the nicest backroad viewing germany has to offer. the route is seperated into 3 different legs
leg one begins outside of central heidelburg, and will travel all the way into mannheim, at the foot of b38. leg two begins on the outskirts of worms, and will go all the way into bad durkheim leg three will begin at the city limit of bad durkheim and go all the way into k-town. the route ends at panzar kassern. these roads are all backroads, the only time we will actually hit the autobahn is from mannheim b38 to worms. there is no other way into worms to get access into leg 2 other than the autobahn. there are germans on these roads, but on saturdays there are usually other carvers out there and the germans do not walk on these roads, most scooters dont even bother with them and i dont remember many bikes at all. never the less, i will be giving a safety brief before we roll out, and i do ask that everyone please pay attention becuase i do feel that what i will be briefing you guys on is very important. this will be a very fun event. if your into road racing or rally racing this is for you, minus the drifting. we will do a stop in grunstadt for safety checks and potty breaks. i do recomend that everyone bring a co-pilot with them, one that can also drive and be alert as well as enjoy the ride and maybe take some pics. a gps would also be handy if you get seperated from the group. other than that, i will be looking forward to seeing everyone there, ready to enjoy one of what i feel will be our greatest events. the date is sunday 6th of september, around 1400. we will be meeting in the px parking lot in heidelburg. let us know in advance if you need directions. please note the date has changed!!!!!!!!! it will not be on saturday, please read above Last edited by bigdaddy; 31st August 2009 at 11:39 AM. |

This is an event that everyone should enjoy. Take my word I have done the whole route and it is a blast along with the nice countryside that you will see (if you are in into that sorta stuff). SO wash up the car, get it setup for some nice Canyon Carving you will not be disappointed!
See Ya There!! |
