Need some info on new assignment

Hey guys I just got my orders sending me to Fort Bliss. I need to know if anyone here can give me the down low on this shit hole I am heading too. I am not too happy about going there but I am just wondering what are the high lights to being there. And what is the base like.

The base is pretty spread out. They are always doing exercises and constantly deploying to the desert. Most just left about a month ago to head back to the sand box. You are on a border town and the crime rate is high due to that. People come across from the boarder, steal your things and cars, then take them back to Mexico. We have a few people on here that are assigned to Bliss.

El Paso (Bliss) is ok, they just opened a new drag strip here about 18 months ago, it gets the job done in that regard. The problem is that El Paso is isolated from the rest of the country. There is no six flags type place, no professional sports teams, not the stuff you would find in most major cities. Beyond that, the nearest city with the above features is at least 600 miles away. However, If you like hispanic women, have I got a deal for you.

The car scene is dominated by shitty imports and mustangs. There are a lot of military guys with nice cars, but nothing is organized.

nothing is organized because you hung out with ricers... once you get to know the right ppl everything comes into perspective... Albuquerque is not to far your right next to las cruses as well, the new drag track is way better then bitburg thats for sure haha

I usually stay away from elpasoracing , too much thug/gangster, drug use, "epic fail ftw" juvenile attitude over there. I spend most of my time on southwestdrags.com , which is almost too extreme in the other direction. I see and hear of all sorts of bad ass rides on Bliss, but I never see them at the tracks, never see them at any of the meets or cruises. I've though before of putting together a fort bliss car scene forum, but I'm not in the best position to organize it.
