MT Car show planned for 09?

Will the military tuners have a car show next year? I am offering my services to help plan and facilitate this event. I have 9 solid years of car shows and tuning in Germany and might be able to give some assistance. Was this something that has already been discussed? I am sure many people would like attend and show off their cars.

Yeah I know once Bigdaddy and Vdub get back we are wanting to put something pretty big together... I know the ones they have on base usually do pretty well, minus the fact of they usually don't advertise all that well. I know there is a boat load of nice cars that people would love to show off in Germany, it is just a matter of getting together a nice setup, and then advertising it so people hear bout it, more than a week or so out like the ones on base usually end up being... I know I went to the cars of the stars over in Volgelweh and there was quite a nice turnout.. What do you have in mind, and where do you think would be the best location to have it, that might be a more central location??

Well I hate to say this because I am in Wiesbaden area.....Ktown/RAM area would be the best. There would be a greater turnout and more participants. Also, you have sponsors that would love to pitch in. I went to a show in Graf about two months ago and there was a good turnout but in that Ktown area, there are more people. As for advertising, every post has a local newspaper. I could also pass out fliers in the Wiesbaden area. Also, if its an event on post, I am sure AFN would do an add if you asked. I just contributed to a comercial for the Hispanic Heritage event in Wiesbaden and we had over 300 people show up! There are many things to discuss.

Location"good location and getting permission"
Sponsors(BMW, Boss assistance, credit union, Military car sales)
Trophies
Scoring sheets
Judges(training so everyone has the same rating scale)
Fliers
Entrance or participation fees
Judging uniform.....same type of shirts


these are just a few things we have to determine. There are more but that's a start.

Yeah I know there are quite a few more people here in the K-Town area... There are many things to discuss and to put together in order to make sure it all goes smoothly and is a good time for all!!! But I am def. looking forward to getting the name out there by doing a big event!!

Give me a heads up - I have to get a boo-boo repair on my back bumper (I back into a POS acura). That and I got a new turbo I need to install.

i hate this place. i miss out on too much. if i am back by then i will try to attend, car shows arent my thing, im more of a pro active kind of guy. of course you know myself and vdubgti will definately be planning the mother of all canyon carving events once we get back. hes gonna hopefully have a new suspension and some under the car goodies, i can only dream though. who knows, maybe i luck out and end up with some boost or a new motor. meh. but yeah, anything mt does i will attend.

yeah i would be down for anything but i am like bigdaddy meet up go canyon carving stop and get a bite to eat somewhere. something like that but i would be down for a car show.

I went to a big show in Gaf about three months ago. It was great. They had many sponsors to include aafes car sales, A German car music installation company, Boss participated....free entry and more. They gave out t-shirts, key chains, caps, balls, and much much more. There was a DJ with music and the winners won coupons and speakers and more. Enclosed are a few pics.
